The Scottish Mountain Heritage Collection
This lovely, if rather sad, little item was recently donated by our friend, John McCall. Charles Inglis Clark was a pioneer climber on Ben Nevis in the years before the First World War and subsequent to his death. The mountain hut below the North Face was built as a memorial in the 1920's. Still much used nearly 100 years later, it is affectionately known the world over as the C.I.C. hut.
