Provenance

'Friends' were the revolutionary camming device invented and brought to the rock climbing world by American climber Ray Jardine. Designed to 'cam' into cracks, often flared, they brought a whole new concept to safe passage over difficult terrain. Almost as revolutionary, Clive Roberts, an Irish friend of Mick Tighe's, made this one himself, though we think he might have been too scared to use it for real. Luckily, he gave it to our collection instead.
