Provenance

Perhaps not the most exciting items in our collection, but amazingly, early Twinco Table Talk mugs are collected by some folk, though maybe earlier versions than ours.
Although we've catalogued the items separately, these mugs were part of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team's Field Kitchen, a picture of which you will see opposite. The 'kitchen' was put together in the 1970's for use at the annual air bed race in Glen Nevis. The team used this race as a fund raising event. Anyone surviving the descent of the River Nevis on/with an air bed would need a hot drink on completion and the kitchen provided it. They found quicker and more efficient methods of preparing the drinks in the 1990's and, as a result, we inherited this lovely piece of history.
