A bit of a puzzle these skis, as UMEA is actually in Sweden where it looks like these skis were made. They then found their way to Oslo where LIllywhites selected them. Who bought them from Lillywhites and subsequently donated them to the Scottish Ski Club (and ultimately to us) we are not sure, but they have certainly seen some action. The basic Kandahar binding has had some modifications and the wee repair job to one of the skis tells us of a 'make do and mend' attitude in the 1920's and 30's, rather than the 'chuck away and buy new' attitude of today.
