Provenance

Hipolito was a Portugeuse company based in Torres Vedras. Not quite sure how far back they went but they produced 'Primus like' stoves and lamps for years until finally going out of business in 1999. This is a lovely example of their No. 1 stove which would pass very easily for a Primus if you took the writing off. We suspect the 1950's as production date, but need to do a bit more research. Mick Tighe bought this one for a few pence in a sale.
