Gunther Gabriel is the man behind this ice screw. He's based in G ermany and seems to have 'invented' various types of mountaineering equipment.
Technically, this is an 'ice piton', as it needs to be hammered into the ice and screwed back out again. There was another more common version around called a SNARG, a couple of which we have in the collection.
