Provenance

Founder of The Scottish Mountain Heritage Collection, Mick Tighe, bought this headtorch off the internet for £8 in 2013. It was advertised as being ex-Swedish Army though we are not sure how the seller knew this, since we can't find any markings at all to tell us where it came from.
Interestingly, we have a very similar torch in the collection (see related items)which we do think was made for the Swedish Army - it was made by the German Company Pertrix and the one we have here is very similar.
Anyway, it's a great little item which probably dates from the 1970/80's. The little round metal bit slots in to cover the beam - almost- leaving a tiny, downward shaft of light which, hopefully, can't be seen by the enemy!
