Provenance

Mick Tighe bought these ski bindings as part of a 'job lot' from a surplus store in Edinburgh back in 200?. There were skis, sticks, bindings, waxes and various other items.
Although made in Norway, these bindings would have been bought by the Ministry of Defence on some kind of contract - see the contract number in the description. British troops - particularly Royal Marines - have trained in Norway since the 1970's and these bindings fitted to the appropriate skis - see related items - would be part of their Arctic warfare equipment. Rotefella (literally rat-trap) are Norway's, and probably one ot the worlds's, largest producers of cross country ski bindings.
