Even though they come from opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean we've put these two wee fellows together for company as they are about the same age having come into the world - we think- around 1970. Seattle manufacturing Corporation burst onto the market in 1967 with lots of outdoor goodies and though we don't know exactly when, the '00' nut of this pair seems to be an early (circa 1970) form of wired nut. Clog set up business in 1966 down in Wales and we reckon the wedged shaped wire we have here is also of a 1970's vintage. Early forms of rock protection that look a little scary in the modern world. They were both in Mick Tighe's rack once upon a time.
