Things of the homemade variety have always been our favourites and this is as good as it gets - a hand knitted woolly jumper. In a world of outdoor shops stuffed full of designer clothing it is hard to imagine an era, not so long ago, when such things didn't exist. Ex military gear was popular with outdoor folk otherwise it was ordinary working clothes or handmade items such as this jumper - fabulous.
This one once belonged to mountaineer and one time member of RAF Kinloss Mountain Rescue Team, Ron Strachan. His son Ranald kindly donated it to the collection, but more importantly Ron's wife knitted it - thanks Mrs Strachan.
