Provenance

Pifco began life in 1902 as the Provincial Incandescent Fittings Co Ltd and like so many of these companies it has seen many changes over the years and by 2001 it had come into the ownership of the American Salton Group.
We've had some debate as to whether or not this is a headtorch designed for the outdoors, or for medical use. Outdoors is the favourite for various reasons, not least being that it would be very hard to keep clean or sterilise in a medical environment.
Lightweight and simple, we doubt if the light was very powerful though. We suspect it dates from the 1960's but we are not very sure where it came from as we found it in a box of junk....interesting.
