Rather confusing is the best way to describe these two bits of gear. Go-Pro is better known in the modern world as a camera, often worn on a helmet to film sporting activities while Rock n' Rollers tend to like 1960's music!
From a Rock climber's perspective, Rock n' Rollers were one of the many ideas for making Rock anchors which were invented in the 1970's and 80's. Some of these, such as the Friend were a huge success and some were not. Rock n' Rollers seem to be in the latter category.
Very much an American invention, they were popular for a while with American climbers. Indeed, the larger of the two we have here in the collection has been much used by Charlie Fowler, a legendary USA climber and mountaineer. The other one came from our pal, Art McCarthy, over in California.
Other than latterly for collectors, very few made their way over to the UK which makes us rather pleased to have a couple in our collection.
