Provenance

Dating from the 1970's, this Bulldog cooking pot was part of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team's Field Kitchen which was used at the annual River Race in Glen Nevis.
The race involved jumping into the River Nevis with an air bed and negotiating a course to the finish, raising funds for the team in the process.
The team would brew up a hot drink in the field kitchen and give it to the survivors!
Modern technology rendered this set up redundant in the 1990's when we 'acquired' the kitchen. We've catalogued the contents separately so check out related items and the picture opposite for the full kitchen.
