Provenance

Ann Wakeling joined Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team in 1977 and was issued with this jacket for use in rescues. 40 years later, well faded and well worn, she’s decided to retire herself and the jacket. We can’t do ‘touchy feely’ on the internet, but despite its age, the jacket still has a a good feel about it, is still wearable and has the patina of age that fashion designers dream about.
Nonpareil, which appears on the label means without equal but we are not sure if that is the manufacturer’s name or just the name of the jacket. What looks to be a P+C beside it could be the maker’s name but we can’t find a clothing manufacturer called that.
Lovely little timepiece, whatever. Thanks Ann.
