Most ice climbing tools have some kind of name, other than that of the maker; Pulsar, Vertige, Vulture, Raptor and Zero are just a few examples. We can’t find a name for the ones we have here however, so will just have to call them Charlet Moser Ice Clmbing Tools. Charlet Moser were bought by Petzl in 2000 and became Petzl Charlet, so this pair of tools predates that and we suspect they are from around 1980, a time of much evolution in the ice climbing world eg. Banana picks, drooped picks and various handle shapes.
This pair are pretty much in mint condition and were donated by Bob Smith, climber, instructor and one time leader of Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team.
