Provenance

Stregor Rock Climbing Cams seem to be made in the Ukraine, one of the many varieties of camming devices that have followed in the wake of Ray Jardine’s ‘Friends’ which he invented in 1978.
Stregor seem to have made titanium versions of their cams, though the one we have here in the collection is the usual mix of steel and aluminium alloy.
This one came, rather sadly, from the rack of our good friend, Andy Nisbet, who was tragically killed in a climbing accident on Ben Hope in the Scottish Highlands during the winter of 2019.
Andy’s pal, Dave McGimpsey, inherited his gear, some of which he passed on to us.
