We saw this little axe on e-bay listed as ‘unbranded’ and thinking it looked a bit like a MacInnes Terrordactyl we e- mailed Grant Emslie and offered him £10. He didn’t want our £10 and offered to donate it instead - excellent news.
So, very much a homemade item and very similar to a Terrordactyl as you can see in the picture opposite.
Since Grant bought it in an auction we don’t know who made it unfortunately but it is a fine compliment to our Hamish MacInnes ice axe collection.
Thanks to Grant and the maker whoever he or she was.
