Provenance

We are not very keen on rock boots normally as they tend to be rather smelly and are usually falling to pieces by the time we receive them. This pair, however, buck the trend, as they are pretty much in mint condition despite being around 40 years old as we write in 2021.
Boreal was founded by Jesus Garcia Lopez, in Spain in 1975 and quickly became one of the world’s leading rock boot/shoe manufacturer helped considerably by the Fire (pronounced feeray) the ‘must have’ footwear at the time.
The Wild Country advert from the May 1987 High Magazine - see opposite - shows that they were the UK importer distributors.
PS We have a very similar pair of Boreals in the collection already. Put ‘rock boots’ in the quick search to find them and lots of others.
