Lord Napier carried this everywhere but never used it.
Spare ski tips were essential in the days of wooden skis annd ski touring parties would always carry a spare one with them - as it seems Lord Napier did.
Ingab were an Austrian company who manufactured skis back in the early days and also seem to have made this 'repair tip'.
