Provenance

Scotland's national outdoor training centre, Glenmore Lodge, nestles in amongst the Cairngorm mountains close to the town of Aviemore in the Central Highlands. Providing a wide range of mountain related activities, the centre has been widely regarded as a centre of excellence since it's inception in the late 1940's.
It follows that the instructors at the centre are of the highest quality and somewhere back in the mists of time a 'uniform' was created for them. Nothing elaborate, just a thin blue line that was reflected on jumpers, ski jackets and other items of clothing.
The blue line continues in 2015, though what we have here in the collection is a 1970's version of an instructor's jumper which once belonged to Reg Popham who worked at the lodge for many years. Reg donated the jumper along with various other items in 2014 ....... Thanks Reg.
