Provenance

Whilst looking very much like a Wild Country Friend, the camming device we have here in the collection was made in Korea and marketed by the Italian Company CAMP in 1989. The device seems to have acquired the name
Passe-Par -Tout (French for goes everywhere) at some point though we are not sure if that’s the official title, or a nickname.
Once again this leaves us wondering about the patent laws as we know that the inventor of the real ‘Friend’, Ray Jardine, has patents in the USA and UK, so we assume those patents don’t apply in Korea.
An interesting addition to our ever growing collection of spring loaded camming devices. Thanks to Jonathon Winter for donating it.
