Provenance

Though there are question marks about a couple of his ascents, Reverend A E Robertson is widely regarded as the first person to ascend all the Munros in Scotland. The heights of some have now been revised though there were 282 when Robertson finished his round in 1901.
Robertson often referred to as A.E.R was also an early photographer and we are delighted to have a couple of his photograph albums here in our collection.
They were kindly passed on by Richard Sidgwick from the estate of Margaret Roady - thanks to both.
